To get rid of the so-called abdominal fat, which is deposited in a person’s waist, every day is enough 20 minutes to do strength exercises.
According to scientists from Harvard School, who conducted special studies, to reduce a large waist, which is often observed in men after 30 years, even such short workouts can help.
Specialists involved ten and a half thousand men, in whom they analyzed weight, waist and level of physical activity. Scientists noted those lifestyle changes that were noted during the experiment. So, those participants in the study who were engaged in strength exercises on the day for 20 minutes, managed to reduce the waist volume by 0.67 centimeters. Neither aerobic training, nor daily physical work (gardening, climbing stairs) allowed to achieve such good results. It is not surprising that those representatives of the stronger sex who led a sedentary life during the study increased their waistline even more.
However, doctors still recommend combining strength and aerobic exercises: this way you can achieve even more tangible results.
Earlier, scientists from Australia had already advised those who wanted to lose weight to do strength training. It is this type of load that reduces the amount of food consumed. In any case, the researchers were able to obtain such results in the course of the experiments.
There is one more good news for “jocks”: it turns out that those men who go to training regularly and therefore have strong muscles are 40% less likely to die from oncological diseases. This was reported by scientists from an international team that conducted a study involving 8677 men of different ages - from young to old. All of them underwent regular physical examinations, and for more than 20 years, scientists have counted how many men got cancer and how many people died as a result of this disease. As a result, it turned out that men with strong muscles, who regularly trained, suffered from cancer by 30-40% less often. Moreover, the training protected from unpleasant illness even those men whose overweight. Therefore, experts advise to do strength exercises at least twice a week.
